Price signals matter, distorting this with mass migration leads to firms investing less than they otherwise would, keeping productivity flat and real wage growth down 

A scarcity of labour was never the limiting factor for Britain in the past or any other medium sized developed economy 

Your view only makes sense in a world where countries have labour forces order of magnitude greater than Britain like Nigeria or India also have similar GDP per capita levels

Every economic problem in Britain comes back to how we can increase output per person or per hour worked

Increasing labour supply without doing is counterproductive
