🚨 LEAK: NCAA Took Formal Step to Bolster Institutional Violation Against Michigan

The Committee on Infractions has already taken sides — and it wasn’t Michigan’s.

Let’s start here:
A final NOA is not taken lightly. When the NCAA issues it, they believe the investigation is complete

So when the NOA was amended months later, it meant someone came forward with new, material information — strong enough to reopen the process.

The timeline tells the story:
đź“… NOA issued: 8/23/24
đź“… Amended NOA: 11/13/24
đź“… Response deadline extended: 1/6/25

Here’s why that matters:
The NCAA and Michigan didn’t agree on the inclusion of the new information. That disagreement triggered a COI review. Either the COI Chair or the Chief Hearing Officer held a hearing and ruled the new evidence was MATERIAL — serious enough to delay the process and formally amend the charges.

That’s not just a procedural footnote — that’s the COI siding with NCAA Enforcement.
A massive LOSS for Michigan. And the rest of the COI will likely fall in line.

🔑 KEY POINT:
This was a formal ruling against the institution itself.
The amendment was filed as “NOA Amended (Membership)” — not (Inv Ind).
That label is reserved strictly for institutional-level violations.

⚠️ And it’s those institutional-level violations where the hammer is 🔨

By NCAA definition, that material evidence either:
🔹 Strengthens a Level I institutional charge (very likely Failure to Monitor)
or
🔹 Reveals deeper, systemic noncompliance across the program

Either way — Michigan’s defense took a major credibility hit in front of the very people who will decide their fate
