Russia to ban WhatsApp messenger

WhatsApp should prepare to leave the Russian market, said Gorkikh, first deputy chairman of the State Duma's IT committee.

According to him, the messenger, owned by Meta, which the Kremlin has recognized as extremist in Russia, “is very likely to be included in the list of software from unfriendly countries subject to restrictions.”
