The Kuwaiti dinar's strength comes from a mix of strong oil exports (which bring in steady foreign revenue), limited money supply, prudent fiscal policies, and a peg to a basket of currencies rather than just the dollar, all of which keep its value high and stable—even though the overall size of Kuwait's economy is much smaller than that of the US.
