We've never been closer to nuclear Armageddon since the Cuban Missile Crisis. 
And now we could be even closer. Unlike today, back then, diplomacy functioned fairly well, and with John F. Kennedy, a rational US president sat in the White House. He was interested in world peace and possessed the intellect and courage to stand up to the military and the Deep State.
