Device Usage Poll Report: Lumiterra Game Testnet Participants

A poll was recently conducted among Lumiterra players to gain insights into the primary devices used to access and experience the game during the testnet phase. The objective of this poll was to better understand player behavior across platforms and potentially guide future optimization efforts for device-specific performance and user experience.

Poll Details:

Total Respondents: XX players
Poll Question: “Which device did you play @LumiterraGame on?”

Options & Results:

iPhone: XX% (21 votes)
Android: XX% (12 votes)
PC/MAC: XX% (6 votes)
Web: X% (1 vote)

Key Findings:

• iPhone Leads Player Preference with XX% of Total Votes

iPhone is the dominant platform among players. This shows strong engagement from iOS users. To be honest, I noticed many players who showcased their gaming prowess here on X were mostly on iPhones, which left me wondering about the experience of others.

Safe to say, the team executed Phase X of the testnet impressively on iPhone thus, only minor upgrades seem necessary here.

• Android Holds Second Place

XX% of respondents played on Android devices. Combined with iPhone usage, this means that XX% of players accessed Lumiterra through mobile platforms, confirming the game’s mobile-first appeal.

Personally, I encountered several bugs on Android, couldn’t get past character creation, and the game often stopped abruptly. Sometimes I returned only to find that previous progress had been wiped. The team should consider reducing feature overload in the environment to lighten the gameplay load on Android devices.

• PC/MAC Use Is Limited but Present

XX% of players accessed the game through PC or Mac. This area clearly needs significant development. After unzipping the downloaded .rar file, I attempted to install the game, but it failed... stalling midway through the download.

I understand why many players avoided this option. The complexity and technical barriers can easily discourage newcomers. A notable KOL went live and tried Lumiterra, but his experience was disappointing, he found the onboarding process overwhelming and the mechanics too complex.

This sector needs considerable attention. As we know, the world’s top gaming companies succeeded because they mastered the console experience and for Web3, PC is the closest we’ve got to that.

• Web Access Is Minimal

Only X% reported playing via a web browser. Since Lumiterra shipped the web update quite late, there’s not much to evaluate here. I personally started out on web and found it decent overall. Only minor adjustments are needed from the team to improve it further.

Conclusion:

The results of this poll clearly reflect Lumiterra’s strong mobile-first presence, with iPhone leading the way. However, Android and PC/MAC require focused optimization to improve the overall experience. While the iOS performance was solid, Android stability and PC usability need urgent attention. The minimal web usage points to a late rollout, but the experience showed promise. These insights offer the Lumiterra team a clear path forward in prioritizing device-specific improvements for future phases.
