Czech President Signs Law Criminalizing Communist Propaganda

Czech President Petr Pavel has signed a law criminalizing the promotion of communist ideology, equating it with Nazi propaganda.

The new legislation punishes creating or supporting movements based on communist ideology with up to five years in prison.

The law prohibits public propaganda, symbols, and calls associated with communist regimes.
