LONG POST (Please bear with me)

I'm always wary of giving my opinions (although I've done it more often this window), as I do not want to give any false hope or inadvertently fear monger

Been flooded with msgs regarding Gyökeres. I've already updated the latest article in my previous tweets BUT I would cautiously like to offer an interesting theory of whats actually happening.

The last two major announcements on Gyökeres - the deal being close and then deal being agreed in principle, all came out on consecutive sundays

To me that was unusual because Arsenal are notorious for having no news on weekends but I didn't think anything further than that.

However my Man. Utd supporting friend gave me a new perspective based on what they went through when Bruno Fernandes transfered from Sporting

Sporting are a publicly traded company. Any news of a major asset being sold drops the stock price. Any major announcements during the market being open and creates intense stock price volatility which is not good at all for the major share holders

There are other publicly traded clubs too like UTD but how much a transfer of a major target affects these clubs vary.

This is why I was told by my friend that Bruno deal was dragged on till they could no longer delay. More delay means lesser drop in stocks

The stock market operates Monday to Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

So now to me at least, it makes sense as to why the major announcements were on Sundays when the market was closed as they would not affect the stock prices much at that time

So what this does is make it look like things are being dragged out and that generates more stories regarding the add ons and all. It helps Sporting also look tougher in negotiations (not saying they aren't otherwise but this too helps)

Given the news of Gyökeres having a furniture removal vehicle at his house in Portugal yesterday and how toned down the reports from Portugese papers have become, I think we are in the end game now

So as per this logic, I would expect news after 4:30pm (UK time) when the market closes up and till Monday X am BUT given that we want him on the plane to Asia tomorrow, think anytime today after 4:30pm till Friday midnight

I have no experience with flight tracking. @Record_Portugal says player still in Sweden. Although player will be ready to fly at a moments notice

Hope this has made you feel a bit at ease on the whole thing. Just my opinion but I feel this is one that adds up if you think about it logically

And on top of all this, @David_Ornstein has already said the deal has been agreed in principle. So I would not worry much
