The Epping protesters are not extremists or bored poor people they are ordinarily middle class successful people. This is going to cause a *preference cascade* where people suddenly feel free to express what they are thinking. It won’t happen on the BBC or here on Twitter but rather in WhatsApp groups, mums groups, the gym, the pub. These are people with jobs and companies. These are people from the east end who fled demographic change at least X times. There is nowhere left to flee to. They are either going to stay and fight or leave the country entirely. If they leave the country will never recover. If they fight (politically) there is a real chance of winning.
