After ages, I’ve seen a romantic film that truly shakes you to the core. The phenomenal writing by Sankalp Sadanah and Rohit Shankar has been beautifully brought to life by director Mohit Suri in his signature style. The film’s writing is powerful, deeply emotional, and musical- it will leave you in tears. The interval block is so heart-wrenching that if you’re an emotional person, you’ll find yourself crying uncontrollably. There are several twists and turns that set it apart from the usual romantic dramas. With this film, two stars are born - #AhaanPandey and #AneetPadda. Both have delivered stunning performances in their debut outing. Ahaan doesn’t just look handsome on screen, but his acting is surprisingly impactful. To portray emotional and intense scenes so convincingly in a debut film, to deliver dialogues with such depth - these are things even experienced actors struggle with. Ahaan has captured every emotion on the big screen so effortlessly that you’ll forget this is his first film. If he continues choosing the right scripts, he has the potential to become a huge star. His distinct husky, rough voice is his biggest asset. #AneetPadda absolutely surprised me with her performance-she is the soul of Saiyaara.There’s a particular scene where she explains to Ahaan the meaning of music and lyrics, and that one scene is enough to tell you this girl is destined for stardom. Bollywood has long been searching for a female star to carry the legacy post-Alia Bhatt, and with Aneet Padda, that wait is over. Mark my words. The film’s music is good. The Saiyaara Title Track and Barbaad stand out. The rest of the songs are decent. However, the music slightly falls short compared to Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain or Aashiqui X. Had it matched that level, it would’ve elevated Saiyaara to another league. Cinematography and other technical aspects are TOP NOTCH . That said, there’s no doubt that Saiyaara ranks among the best directorial works of Mohit Suri’s career. The emotions, drama, and dialogues are the soul of this film. It won’t just appeal to the youth-it’s bound to strike a chord with family audiences as well. It’s set to create history at the box office. ₹200 Cr will be a cakewalk. ₹300 Cr is also well within reach. BLOCKBUSTER IS GUARANTEED. Don’t forget to carry tissues and handkerchiefs with you - because Saiyaara will make you cry. A lot.
