The FTSE XXX is set for a positive open on the final trading day of the week, with futures up c23 points. On Thursday, the index closed XXX% higher at 8,972.64, boosted by weaker UK jobs data that increased expectations of an imminent interest rate cut. 

Overnight in the US, the Nasdaq rose XXX% to a record high, while the S&P XXX also set a new peak with a XXX% gain. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session up 0.5%. @ZaksTradersCafe
