I don’t get that either. The claim is that it had something to do with his monologue on Paramount (CBS’ parent company) caving to Trump’s lawsuit. But why would they end the whole show for that? Doesn’t make sense. 

My hunch is that the late night shows are an outdated format and people are bored of it. Doesn’t seem to be political to me based on available info.
