$PORTAL’s phased vesting—just XX% unlocked at TGE with X months of drip—basically mirrors what’s become the new normal since $ZK and $AEVO. This structure cools off the “instant dump” meta, but leaves a lot of farmers frustrated, especially after active campaign seasons.

Right now, sentiment is split: committed users see the game theory and retention play, while opportunists are cycling out, looking for faster liquidity. Engagement metrics remain solid, but the real test will come with each major unlock event.

Historically, airdrops with milestone-based vesting see less severe price shocks than full-on cliffs, and if Portal keeps mainnet and utility hype alive, price drops could be cushioned by ongoing demand. Still, switching to new farms is a rational move if you’re after quicker gains.
