The vast majority of Maori chiefs then signed the Treaty in 1840 and swapped sovereignty for citizenship. The majority reaffirmed this in 1860. So the British came by peace not force. Maori then sold over XX% of their land by 1900 and interbred with settlers and Pakeha. So no full Maori now exists. What is happening now is rather crazy. A few so called traitorous idiotic Pakeha have been replacing Kiwis (Pakeha and Maori) since the 1987 with the largest people groups of the world (especially over the last X years). Effectively wiping Kiwis out this century. Significantly so within the next 10-20 years (small population, low birth rate, migration, baby boomers). Once foreigners dominate they will replace and control the remnants with all their old world problems brought to the new world. This number is already well in excess of 30%. Unfortunately Kiwis are weak and never stand up for themselves so will be wiped out. I will be one of the last of my people.
