You’re missing a key point... Trump put conditions and protections in place for himself and his administration to guard against retribution and denial from democrats.

Democrats lost the ability to claim it was a political witch hunt...

Trump says, “There’s nothing to release. Case closed. Move on.”

Democrats try to weaponize this, implying he must be hiding something damaging...

They demand he release the information...

Trump puts on a show of being outraged, but ultimately gives in to their demands... knowing that when the information comes out and implicates them, they won’t be able to claim it’s a political witch hunt to try and escape accountability. 

Trump is giving democrats exactly what they are demanding.. He will do it slowly, make more people angry, etc.... but in the end... they will have no one to blame other than themselves and the voters...
