This initiative aims to relax certain regulatory requirements for firms using distributed ledger technology (DLT) to issue, trade, and settle securities, fostering innovation in blockchain-based financial products while maintaining investor protections. The exemption would allow companies to develop and market on-chain products more efficiently, addressing the “chicken-and-egg” problem where limited tokenized securities markets deter investment and issuance. Conditions for the exemption may include disclosures about products, services, and risks, compliance with recordkeeping and reporting, SEC monitoring, and adequate financial resources. IMO: Security Tokens will be the next Capital Market event triggering a golden age of innovation and capitalization of AI and automation based manufacturing and efficiency industries globally.
