Interviewed for a job today… The hiring Commander hit me with a question that I wasn’t prepared for and have never heard in a military job interview.

She said “If you could be ONE kitchen utensil, what would you be and why?”

I totally wasn’t prepared for that one.

I took about a X second vocal pause and answered the following.

“I would be a fork for X reasons.
First, it’s fairly easy to look at a fork and figure out how to use it. 

Second, a fork can do almost everything else the other utensils do. It can mix, it can scoop, and it can stab. 

Last, and more philosophically, if you can control a fork…ie. You can control what you put in your mouth, it will improve every single aspect of your life.” 

She seemed to like my answer.

How would you answer that question at a moments notice?
