NEW: ICE agent dragged nearly a block after illegal migrant speeds off in van during Oklahoma City traffic stop

The attack happened as feds tried to arrest Jose Melgar-Rivas, a Honduran national with a deportation order

Melgar-Rivas refused to exit his van and sped off, dragging an ICE officer who was caught in the door

The officer suffered serious bruises and scrapes

Rivas was arrested hours later

He’s now charged with resisting, assaulting, and impeding a federal officer
