Stephen Colbert’s long-running show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is officially ending for good next year.

Despite being one of the highest-rated programs on late-night TV, the cancellation is reportedly due to financial concerns.

Colbert admitted he only learned of the network’s decision “last night,” leaving fans stunned by the sudden news.

"I'm not being replaced. This is all just going away."
