U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi toured Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay Thursday as part of President Trump's directive to revert the popular tourist attraction to a federal penitentiary. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president believes "the worst of the worst criminals in this country" should be sent there.
