Box office 101:

Studios don’t keep XXX% of the ticket sales.

Theaters take a cut (around 40–50%). So if a movie costs $300M+ with marketing, it likely needs $700–800M just to break even.

Saying “it doesn’t need to” is either dishonest or ignorant.
