Been following @PortaltoBitcoin and I have to say  this isn’t just another DeFi project. It’s a whole new way of thinking about how Bitcoin can move across chains.
Instead of using bridges or wrapped BTC, Portal uses atomic swaps  so the Bitcoin you swap is always real, native, and in your control. That means no middlemen, no bridges to get hacked, and no giving up custody.
They’ve also introduced validators to help coordinate the swaps safely without ever touching your funds. It’s a smart balance between full decentralization and real usability.
What really stands out to me is that Portal isn’t trying to "move Bitcoin to DeFi"
It’s bringing DeFi to Bitcoin while keeping everything Bitcoin stands for: security, trustlessness, and self-custody.
This is one of those projects that could quietly change everything.
