On Macy. 

Last night Macy went to sleep for the last time. She found joy in plastic bottles, the cardboard box her toys came in, and the fig newtons our neighbors would slip through our chain-link fence. 

She loved us beautifully for XX years. Modeling a love so uncomplicated and unselfish. It reflected a tiny glimpse of her Creator. If Macy’s love was a shadow, then it was a shadow cast by a greater Light in Christ.

It may seem simple, but I’m grateful to have had a gift that pointed me to the Giver without me noticing.
