Pretty sure that XX% extra revenue over XX to XX to XX years far outweighs the loss of $20-30K. $30K revenue per year for XX years is $450K. XX% is $135K. So an extra $315K vs $20-30K in lost upfront revenue. Yeah that's a tough decision, phew. Oh, and let's not forget the elephant in the room here, which is that Tesla would have no control of when, for how long, and how often a customer owned robotaxi gets put on the service. So in reality that $135K is an upper limit and would probably be quite a bit less than that. Tesla would have to be stupid to sell Cybercab to customers. The only reasons to do so would be a) Cybercab with steering wheel is one of the more affordable models, or b) Tesla is making so many Cybercabs that fleet logistics are too complicated for them to handle running all of them themselves and they have no choice to sell some to customers to help offload and manage the fleet.
