(He had a previous DUI just a few years earlier, but I can’t find a follow up on whether he was issued another DUI) ⚖️ NFL Suspension: X games This was essentially every possible factor stacked against him — excessive speed, hit-and-run, license issues, alcohol — and it resulted in a 4-game suspension. — 🔹 Case 2: Brandin Echols (Jets CB — 2022) ▪️ Echols was going XX mph over the speed limit ( ~84 in a XX or something similar). ▪️ He crashed into another vehicle. ▪️ The other driver was left partially paralyzed. ▪️ There was no hit-and-run — Echols stayed at the scene and cooperated. ▪️ No alcohol was reported. ⚖️ NFL Suspension: X game Despite the severity of the injury to the other driver, the suspension was just one game, likely due to the lack of fleeing, alcohol, or other aggravating circumstances. — 🧐 What does this mean for Rashee Rice? Rice was reportedly going XXX mph in a XX mph zone and crashed into multiple cars. ▪️ He did leave the scene, but later turned himself in. ▪️ There was no indication of alcohol or substances being involved. ▪️ There were injuries — but none life-threatening or long-term from current reports. ▪️ He has cooperated since the incident. ✅ Based on these past precedents, and recent reports from insiders like @MattDerrick, the expectation remains a 2–4 game suspension. Could it change? Sure. But based on what the league has done with more severe incidents… this projection still holds weight. A lot of people are still trying to predict how long Rashee Rice’s suspension will be…
So let’s look at two similar cases that, while not identical, offer some insight into how the NFL has ruled on high-speed driving incidents with real consequences:
—
🔹 Case 1: Aldrick Rosas (Giants Kicker) ▪️ Rosas was reportedly going over XXX mph when he blew through a red light and collided with another car in the middle of an intersection. ▪️ He fled the scene on foot. ▪️ Was later arrested barefoot with blood on his hands, legs, and feet. ▪️ He admitted to driving the car. ▪️ Was also driving on a suspended license. ▪️ Alcohol was involved, and DUI was suspected. (He had a previous DUI just a few years earlier, but I can’t find a follow up on whether he was issued another DUI)
⚖️ NFL Suspension: X games
This was essentially every possible factor stacked against him — excessive speed, hit-and-run, license issues, alcohol — and it resulted in a 4-game suspension.

🔹 Case 2: Brandin Echols (Jets CB — 2022)
▪️ Echols was going XX mph over the speed limit ( ~84 in a XX or something similar). ▪️ He crashed into another vehicle. ▪️ The other driver was left partially paralyzed. ▪️ There was no hit-and-run — Echols stayed at the scene and cooperated. ▪️ No alcohol was reported.
⚖️ NFL Suspension: X game
Despite the severity of the injury to the other driver, the suspension was just one game, likely due to the lack of fleeing, alcohol, or other aggravating circumstances.

✅ Based on these past precedents, and recent reports from insiders like @MattDerrick, the expectation remains a 2–4 game suspension.
Could it change? Sure. But based on what the league has done with more severe incidents… this projection still holds weight.
