Regardless of what people argue about online, the most intelligent among us have done our best to implement solutions. It's far worse than you think, we are headed to 8°C of warming by the end of the century. The price increases the population is witnessing is from global crop failures that have been happening for over a century. It's a global mega drought, exacerbated by flooding wiping out the meager crops that can grow in this climate. There are technologies like hydroponics and genetic modification along with synthetic meats and bacterial protein cultures being researched now to mitigate the damage. There are many that cannot fathom what is going on and even a dissociative cognitive dissonance that prevents people from finding out, there are even those who want Humanity to be destroyed exacerbating the problem. We are headed to a truly distopĂan world out of necessity. Those at the top of the hierarchy believe the science and are amassing doomsday vaults to protect themselves and their families. We will stand with Humanity knowing we have pushed the Science to it's limit and will survive in a greatly diminished world.
