It is our greatest desire that the Syrian people — Arabs, Turkmens, Kurds, Christians, Sunnis, Alawites, Druze, all segments without discrimination — live in peace; the path to Syria’s well-being lies through this. Just like the Kurdish citizens within our borders, the Kurds in Syria are our true brothers, a part of our very being; by God’s will, we will not allow them to become appetizers at the Zionist table either. We are monitoring all developments in Syria, especially in Suwayda, moment by moment and will continue to do so. We see that the ceasefire, achieved yesterday with the contributions of our country, is being sabotaged by the massacres of armed militants provoked by Israel. Israel once again shows that it does not want peace, tranquility, or stability either in Gaza or in Syria. I pray for God’s mercy upon our Syrian brothers who were vilely martyred in the attacks by Israel and the massacres of separatist militias.
