He became a tailor immediately after graduation to support himself and his family and never had the resources to further his education and follow his dreams. — Until yesterday. Now he has people who have offered to help him cover expenses for all standard exams and even help him with admission processes pro-Bono. A Ghanaian firm is seemingly working on a scholarship program for him in Europe. Interestingly, he said he learnt fashion designing from his mom, when he was young, after WAEC. And it is what he used to fund himself in school. After he graduated from UNIBEN, his dad died a month later. The bills grew, debt tripled, so he had to focus on his first love, Fashion Designing, to cater for his young siblings and the family. A burden he has been handling since 2021. He gave up on international opportunities after two years, due to family responsibilities. While Nigerians think he’s wasting his intellect. He believes it’s not bad to be a tailor, and Nigerians do not have to be condescending. In a slight twist, some of his course mates who finished lower in UNIBEN, moved abroad.
