Expect 6-9 months for locating, negotiating, waiting weeks between ignored phone calls and having your emails left on read to secure a GPA (gas purchase agreement). These guys will flare their gas all day they dgaf. That CTB could do XXX bbl/day depending on where they are on the decline curve. At $60/bbl they are pulling in $360k a month, they don't want some crypto bros playing roughneck next to their tank batteries. Plus, they’ll insist HH is going to $X and this somehow relates to their stranded 1,400btu wellhead gas. Expect to pay $0.50-$1 per mcf for OK gas. You’ll then install $1m of capex at the wellsite, a month later they'll shut the well in and go to Europe for a month. Gas sample: $XXXXX lab or $XX DIY with a GCMS. A genset use 200-300 mcf/MW/day (efficient new vs. old/used) on decent gas. MCF=1,000 scf; assume ~1:1 with MMBtu. Example: 750kW genset ~188-220 mcf/d at $1/mcf = $5,500-$6,750/month gas. $1/mcf ≈1¢/kWh. Genset maintenance (oil, plugs, filters) is about ~$1,500/month/MW. Use 40-weight low-ash oil (~$5,500/1,000L tote). Spark plugs are $XXX a pop, XX needed every few weeks. Overall, expect X ¢/kWh for the gas and ~2.5 ¢/kWh genset operating cost, so X - XXX ¢/kWh all in.
