Kaliningrad lies on the Pregel River, near the Baltic Sea’s Gdansk Bay. It hosts Russia’s Baltic Fleet and is a strategic military outpost. It was part of East Prussia (Germany) until 1945, when it was ceded to the Soviet Union after World War II under the Potsdam Agreement. Kaliningrad legally belongs to Russia. Considering the above, Poland (part of NATO) invading Kaliningrad would absolutely cause a tactical nuclear response from Russia. Poland will invade Kaliningrad in a fantasy wargame only. Poland is not planning on committing national suicide.
