The Israeli-backed Hijri militia has reportedly asked Damascus to intervene in the Suwayda clashes, but the Syrian government reaffirmed its ceasefire stance, calling the conflict an internal matter.

Damascus said it would only act to fully reclaim the province if all militias surrendered unconditionally.
