Assigning point emissions based on real agent utility and market engagement is a great way to go and long waited. 
One recommendation: maybe you could think about an add dynamic feedback loops, so agent performance and depth of market could adjust emissions in real time?

 Also consider rewarding early market makers in new agent market (not just in terms of volume, but quality of their liquidity). 

All in all, this is better aligned for long-term growth of the protocol. Continue to listen to the community; it's this type of transparent iteration that builds community trust and resilience. Good step forward.
