A Mexican illegal immigrant in California is charged with staging a fake kidnapping and blaming it on federal agents. 

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli: "Dangerous rhetoric that ICE agents are
'kidnapping' illegal immigrants is being recklessly peddled by politicians and echoed in the media to inflame the public and discredit our courageous federal agents."

Matt Finn: “She faces a maximum of XX years if convicted… There are also co-conspirators listed throughout this federal complaint. So we expect that there may be more people charged here.”
