In late 2014 and early 2015, a year or so after he left the firm, Tran gave a detailed account of his experience to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission in response to a subpoena. Then in 2018, after a second subpoena from a U.S. attorney's office, he provided the same information to an Illinois grand jury, Tran said.. The result: No action was taken against the firm or any of its traders, and no finding of any wrongdoing has been made..."
