.@Polkadot is stepping up to solve one of Web3’s biggest challenges: identity in the age of AI.

At Web3 Summit 2025, founder Gavin Wood unveiled Proof of Personhood (PoP) — a decentralized solution for on-chain human verification.
- Built on Polkadot’s Individuality system (DIM1 & DIM2)
- Backed by a $3M treasury proposal
- Launching with “the fairest airdrop ever”

PoP strengthens Sybil resistance and aims to replace outdated tools like CAPTCHA, SMS, and KYC, which are increasingly vulnerable in an AI-driven world.

On the “Trust” panel, Ian Grigg emphasized:
Trust and identity are inherently human.

Technology should support, not replace human judgment.

This is a foundational move for Web3 in a time when distinguishing humans from AI is more crucial than ever.
