XXX people were killed. In 2022, the District Court of The Hague found three individuals guilty of this crime and sentenced them to life imprisonment. At this moment they are not yet imprisoned — only Girkin was jailed in Russia for criticizing the authorities. In 2022, the European Court of Human Rights found the Russian state guilty of this crime. Russia cynically denies its guilt and blames Ukraine, despite international investigations and court rulings proving the opposite. In occupied Hrabove, Russian forces staged a propaganda show, mocking the tragedy in a grotesque manner. At the crash site of the passenger plane, they pretended to “mourn” the very people they themselves had killed.
