When talking about pollination, we often think of honey bees, but other insects join the buzz! 🐝
Meet Big Bob, a Xylocopa violacea (aka carpenter bee), super common in mountain gardens.
Despite their beefy size and dark vibe, they’re harmless, not interested in humans. They have a stinger but rarely use it, and it’s like a regular bee sting.
Their coolest feature? Those iridescent violet wings! ✨
