OK, I'll admit it.

Like many conservatives, for a long time I had fun with "Epstein didn't kill himself" and related memes.

I knew there was a lot of shady stuff swirling around Epstein, but I also knew I had no idea what the actual facts were, and the memes were just part of the Saul Alinsky strategy of mocking the opposition.

I assumed basically everybody else thought about it the same way.

But they did not.  Too many people on the Right--the kind who have WWG1WGA in their X profile--took those memes and gags as if they were actual verifiable facts of a conspiracy.

Now all those fun Epstein memes have backfired on us, for reasons that should be apparent to all.

I will be more careful next time.
