Income is an essential which “could” be construed as a necessary false idol.  That said, there are no necessary false idols. Just false obsessions. Side hustles, alternative investments, lotteries, passive income, crypto-mania, collectibles all border on get-rich-quick schemes. All physical assets which do not deteriorate or enter obsolescence, necessarily inflate. Currencies deflate.  Collecting some things is just another game of chance. Plastic & Stuffed Dolls which have been mass produced are not collectibles, they are obsessions.
