midwits keep modeling Trump as economically illiterate when in reality he's simply a first principles economist

and his only principle of econ is "this guy pays that guy"

ask a grad student to describe to you the implications of xyz tariff rate on the US & global economies and they get oneshotted by leviathan network complexity in emergent phenomena authorities

Trump? simple: their guys pay my guys.

an economically illiterate person cannot even begin to comprehend monetary policy transmission and the importance of the overnight interest rate

Trump? simple: my guy (the treasury) pays their guys (the debt holders) 4-5%. 

why 4-5%? too late powell, he can put it lower and my guys would pay their guys much less, but he seems to be on their guys' side

he is to the MIT/Harvard/Stanford/UChicago mafia what Elon was to NASA/boeing...
