Nikki Bella says she was thrown into the ring on WWE RAW with zero preparation—and she’s not holding back about how it all went down.

On the latest episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, the WWE Hall of Famer opened up about her surprise return on the July XX episode of RAW, where she took on Chelsea Green. But according to Nikki, she wasn’t given the chance to train at the WWE Performance Center ahead of her match.

“They usually go if they haven’t had their match. What we know is wrestlers are all at the PC all week training for that one moment, right? When I got hit with that, I was like, ‘Wait, what? Are you sure? How long?’ I was just like, oh my gosh. You know me, I don’t say no to opportunities. I was like, how can I make this work out the best?”

Despite asking for ring time on Sunday morning before RAW, Nikki said the Performance Center was completely booked—and even her request to get in the ring early Monday was denied.

“But yeah, no prep. I wanted to try and get in the ring Sunday morning, but it was all taken, all full and no slots. So then I asked about Monday early—it didn’t happen because of having two back-to-back pay-per-views. The ring wasn’t even built until like 1:30.”

The lack of preparation was especially nerve-wracking considering Nikki’s history with neck injuries. She revealed that during the match, she nearly executed a move that once broke her neck—but managed to pivot just in time.

Still, Bella pulled off the win against Chelsea Green and walked away without injury. For her, that was the biggest victory of all.
