Some of you supposedly “based” posters don’t understand how the friend-enemy distinction worked historically. To the Romans, a Roman woman was inviolate. Touch her w/o her father’s consent, you’re getting sewn in a sack & thrown in a river. But foreigners & slaves were fair game.
