Price is determined by buy pressure v sell pressure

Burning random tokens that aren't actively being sold while selling others only reduces potential selling pressure; doesn't itself affect price. 

Goal then is hoping the optics causes people to buy. 

In the end, it would just give them worse DCA results. If they ran out of $JKL it would be even harder for them to stay incentivized to keep working on the protocol. 

What you want is institutional investment like a Series A, or OTC round; where they can sell a lot without affecting the spot price. Everyone wants that. Making it happen is a lot of work and deals are often somewhat sketch.
