Cap-weighted S&P XXX ($SPX):
This version gives more weight to larger companies.
Example:
• $AAPL, $MSFT = 6%+ each
• $F (Ford) = ~0.2%
So if $AAPL rises 5%, it moves the index a lot.
If $F rises 5%, it barely moves the needle.
