Jim Conley's testimony was riddled with contradictions - he changed his story multiple times, couldn't explain the timeline, and his description of the murder contradicted the physical evidence. The bloody thumbprint on the basement door matched Conley's hand, not Frank's. Alonzo Mann came forward in the 1980s testifying he saw Conley carrying Mary Phagan's body alone. The whole trial was a sham - they let a black man (Conley) testify against a White man (Frank) in 1913 Georgia, something that never happened unless the powers that be wanted a specific outcome.
