Chaired a review meeting regarding the work of Shirdi and Purandar Airport projects at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai today. With the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela approaching, ensuring readiness at Shirdi Airport is a priority. Directed that key works like the new ATC tower, integrated cargo facility, and terminal building be completed well in time. Procurement and structural designs must be finalised within a week, and the pace of work should be stepped up with additional manpower if needed. Given Shirdi Airport’s proximity to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, it can also serve as a parking hub for smaller aircraft. Accordingly, instructions have been given to explore land acquisition to support this expansion. Survey work for Purandar Airport is complete. The Pune Collector has been directed to begin land acquisition immediately so that work can commence without delay. Once operational, this airport will further strengthen Maharashtra’s air connectivity. The goal remains clear; to deliver infrastructure that meets people’s needs, on time and with purpose. Fast-Tracking Shirdi and Purandar Airport Works!
