Polkadot is gearing up to launch its first fully decentralized stablecoin collateralized by its native token, DOT. Announced by co-founder Gavin Wood at the Web3 Summit 2025, this move aims to boost capital efficiency and scalability within the ecosystem.

Currently in early development, the stablecoin’s launch depends on a treasury proposal that will require community feedback and approval from DOT holders before deployment.
