They do so overtly beyond being a supporter of Out Foundation, though to my mind, that is enough for them to be called out. I apologize that you guys caught the heat here but here's some stuff you might be interested in knowing if you are an ongoing partner -- & you might reconsider that. The article that caught my eye is in Out Sports. In it, male fencer "Nova Gregory" who competes in women's, talks about being sponsored by Out foundation. He says: "I’m fortunate enough to be a sponsored athlete with The OUT Foundation, which supports my nutrition and covers training expenses. I train at a gym [giving me] the ability to work out in an inclusive space [and] allows me to present as myself while supporting my fitness goals." Women are fighting for their own sports and spaces and this foundation fights against us. These apparel brands I highlighted actively promote themselves as "pro-woman." In fact, Athleta's tagline is the Power of She, while celebrating men as the very best women and males competing in women's sports and entering women's spaces, denying us privacy, fairness and equal opportunity. Last week, X -- count 'em 7! -- males took part in women's nationals for fencing. Out Foundation is part of that in sponsoring Nova Gregory. And any brand that supports this organization is supporting males stealing opportunities and privacy from women. I completely understand providing product to (and talking with!) folks you don't always agree with and even that in giving money one might not always KNOW the facts about an organization. But this organization directly promotes the lie that men can be women if they simply say they are. And this promotes the erasure of women. In fact, it seems a primary purpose of the organization if the sponsorship of Gregory is any indication. I wouldn't want to give to an organization that does that. I'd be happy to recommend some organizations supporting women's sport opportunities. Here is the article.
