@FriedrichRoeder @PGilday45277 @JakeWSimons They simply weren't, you have no evidence for your claim. The Jewish population in that area by the 7th century was tiny. The Arabs took Jerusalem and allowed Jews to return to the city after XXX years of being banned. That probably increased the Jewish population.
