I didn’t grow up in the West to serve it.

I grew up in it to understand exactly how it works.

Gratitude is earned, not extorted. And silence is not the price of shelter.

If the only way to be "grateful" is to forget who bombed my country, who divided my continent, and who still arms the men that slaughter children in Gaza, then your definition of gratitude belongs in a museum next to the stolen artifacts.

I was raised in the West. You were raised by it.

That’s the difference.
